Virginia Sea Grant Symposium 2024 connecting in all directions

Plenary Speaker

Brain-Smashing: NOT Zombie Style

Integrating Knowledge Across Diverse Perspectives

Integrating knowledge across diverse perspectives — disciplinary, stakeholder, sector, and other ways of thinking — is difficult and can be unnerving, although when achieved the results are novel ideals, outcomes and solutions to society’s most wicked problems. Employing NSF-funded and tested knowledge integration tactics, we will practice brain-smashing, in a safe, exploratory space with no zombies.
